what i REALLY do at bedtime...

so one night, for some reason, addox mayhem was wide awake after bedtime. for 3 hours. the time these pics were taken- 11pm. he goes to bed at 830. we of course knew he was awake, we could hear him reading and playing in bed. around 11, we thought maybe he was asleep because it had got quiet.

but no, he had taken out his stickers and very carefully decorated his chest. when he got his dog bite a couple weeks ago i had cut a night-night shirt so it wouldn't hit his bite. this was very handy for his sticker-decorating. yes, i did play with him and got decorated myself, because we were all still awake, might as well. jason played camera-man.

and finally, at 1120, he fell asleep. on the floor.

and so our story begins... have to read the "ections..."

we have a new green friend... not yet named... but already a big hit with addox. he is a dinosaur, and supposed to grow each day and reach his potential size by day ten. add read the "ections" very carefully, dropped him in, and then wanted to throw the other two in that came in the pack as well. after some debate, we decided to just grow our one right now.

First Day of School

We are back in the routine... sort of. First day went fantastic... last two days were a bit teary (Addox in his classroom, myself out in the hall with the other crying mothers). But, we will prevail! Go Team!!

P.S... Addox also really likes his bright yellow new tennis shoes... so much so, I had to take a picture.

T-Ball Time

Our very first micro t-ball practice... he is not so much a fan of playing catch, but when we got to the batting and running the bases he was all for it!!! We did have storms that night though, so got cut 15 mins early. In Addox words, "I wish I could do that all night!"

Our first bowling trip!! Add had a lot of fun, and I did, too! Nothing is more fun than experiencing things with him, he finds such joy in everything. It cracked me up because the ball would barely reach the pins... but always would at least knock a couple down! At one point he even got a spare!! Go Addox!

Great Start to Our Summer

First summer trip to the "big park" (Riggs Park)... was a bit muddy under the swings, but it was worth it!! After all, what is a summer without muddy shoes and knees??

Spaceship Saturday

Addox loves spaceships and astronauts, so our impromptu trip to the cosmosphere was an awesome idea (credit to jason). i could tell that it was hard for Addox to wrap his head around the idea that what he sees on tv and his posters is what he saw there, because it is so much bigger in real life. it will be fun to see his comprehension grow as he gets older, because we definitely will be going back again! his "this is cool!" every so often, and "i want to show you this!" was very nice to hear. loving this age because he can enjoy and remember activities like this. we also did the imax show which was a lot of fun, what a relaxing saturday!!
