today i am thankful for my mom

so thankful, and busy, that i have no picture.

we took at 2 session rag-quilt class, tonight was the final night (and only one i made it to).

it was great having time together by ourselves and doing something fun (even if at one point i wanted to chuck my machine at the teacher's head).

i'm so very blessed that i have so much in common with my mom & have a wonderful relationship.

she's taught me numerous lessons & been there more times than i can possibly count.

i can still "run to my mommy" & darn proud of it.

i'd be lost without her.

thankful for unexpected moments

when we got home from dinner with family tonight, i knew addox put his shoes away.

i thought in their normal spot, but then i walked by & saw he had put them inside my boots.

today i am thankful for antiques & good girl time

marion, ks,  has several great antique shops, & today a SIL & i made the trip.

well worth the 3 hours (round trip) traveling!

goes fast when you're gabbing.

which we were.

i will do a full post later of all the "finds," but right now hubs wants me to give full attention to the "lord of the rings" marathon he we set up.

thankful for family day

jason finally had a day off yesterday, and we made the most of it.

(hence the late post)

we started off with noah's donuts & ended with family pictures by kyle!

great day!!

today we are thankful for uncle brett & hotwheels

addox has a thing with hotwheels, as does his uncle brett.

actually, the reason addox loves them is uncle brett, he supplies addox with 99.9% of his cars.

at least one car every time he sees him, which is multiple times a week.

i love watching them together so much, and today they decided to count addox' cars and line them up.

4 hours of priceless time with uncle brett

be thankful on paper

i came across this today, what a great idea!

if you don't want to bother clicking/researching, it suggests you write a note to someone each week saying how much they mean to you in the month of November.

i think it is a great reminder of what we should be doing ALL the time. 

life gets so busy, and i know i think about loved ones a lot but do they know that?

we should tell people we love then all the time, tell them why we are thankful for them.

not too long ago i got a letter from a sweet friend and it meant more than words can say.

ironically i've sent a couple friends notes the past couple weeks telling them i am thinking about them and praying for them.

there is just something special about being surprised by a thoughtful letter that can't be replaced.

and, if you send one to someone, it might encourage them to do the same to someone else.

would be a fabulous trend to start.

thankful for coffee

 

coffee has been a lifesaver today, as was a friend coming over to chat.

the kids all had fun & we had some good conversation.

i have a handful of ladies that i can honestly call friends, i'm very thankful.
