i hate when i get sidetracked and forget to put in good pics.

one of the clowns talked to the kids quite a bit.
addox wasn't so sure at first but warmed up and then wouldn't stop asking
"is it real?" very dubiously (skunk)
and
"did you glue that on?" (red nose)
my child is not one to be duped.
i kinda felt sorry for the clown but he didn't seem to care.

circus parade!

the circus is in town!

we mucho enjoyed the little parade they had tonight.
they don't really publicize it a lot, so there aren't that many people which is really nice.
we are lucky that gramma caught it in the paper, & addox loved having her go with us!
they just did a little loop, it was over within 30 mins.
afterward, the kids got to pet the horses.


i love the informality of it & it rocked even more that we got to share it with good friends!!
kim, kaityn, & jon are some of our favorite people.

thrifting

last week i went thrifting with a good friend, and had a blast.
we hit up an estate sale (my first one!!!) along with some thrift stores downtown.
the estate sale was in college hill which is my fave part of the city, so the house was pretty cool to look at, too.

this burlap wasn't marked at the estate sale, just hanging on the wall.
i asked how much it was and bought it for $1.
it was disgusting and had been hanging there for 100 yrs, but it washed up lovely.


there was tons of sheet music at the sale, we picked through it all.
this is more like a book (the middle of one, who knows where the rest is?).
200 pages of music, composer articles, and ads.
looovvveee it.

what an absolutely perfect zoo morning, it felt like we were pretty much the only ones there the whole time!
the animals that are usually hiding were out as well, so that was really neat.

crazy hair day!

addox' school is raising money for the pennies for patients program
(leukemia & lymphoma center)
for the next two weeks.
today was crazy hair day for $1!
the kids had fun with it, and i like that the school is really stressing what it all is for.
if you ask add why, he tells you it is to help doctors heal the kids that are sick.
