we had a blast playing in the snow today!! we pulled eachother around in the saucer, i took a lot of these while i was pulling him & vice versa! haha.... and of course gramma's grilled cheese and pickles is the perfect lunch after tiring yourself out in the snow.

notice the snow angel pictures- he had never done it before. in CO the snow is always too deep, he would get buried! he was dubious at first but got into it pretty quick!!

addox "4" birthday

it was awesome. all the kids had a blast playing, and the pinata was a huge hit!! spiderman's face is pretty jacked up! add is asking me right now if he can have his friends come over again and bash it some more, haha!! a friend pointed out that all they had to do was pull the strings until it all fell out... but addox was already amped up to hit the you-know-what out of it, so they went ahead and destroyed spiderman before they pulled the strings.

i think add was a bit intimidated at first of all the people being here, but he has always been like that. he got used to it pretty quick, and made sure everyone had a mask if they didn't come with a costume already! we had mermaids (princesses?), robin, some several batmans, dark vader, robot girl, wonderwoman, and a spiderman.

uncle aaron came as batman.... it was an awesome costume. it is the first year that uncle aaron, aunt veevee, and adilaide have been able to come to add's birthday, he has been so excited about that! i think he was freaked by the mask a bit, but he says he really liked opening the door to batman. he wants to tell his friends at his school about him, haha!! it was also batman's job to hold the pinata. he had the best padding for it in case the kids missed with the bat! we had some hard hitters. ;)

addox is so lucky to have so many people that love him, we are thankful everyday for that!

addox mayhem

i never wanted to be anything other than a mom, i knew that from an early age. i never cared about having a career, college/job was basically something to take up time until i had a family. i still feel the same way today... addox is my life and i would not have it any other way! my own mom is the absolute best, and if i am half the mom she is i am happy. i LOVED having a mom that was a part of everything, i cannot imagine a childhood in daycare or with someone else. i hope add feels the same way later about me.

four years ago at this time i became what i always knew i was supposed to be... the mother to a handsome (well alien-looking to begin with, especially when he cried!) little redhead that i am so incredibly blessed with. he broke my water for no reason, chilled in the wrong position in my stomach for 26 hrs before they decided he was not going to move. that is him in a nutshell now- on his own timetable & does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. just like all the big milestones- crawling, walking, potty-training. all of a sudden he just decides to do it early or late and then is done. he has a HUGE heart, sensitive soul, redhead temper, stubborn streak, gorgeous smile and brown eyes and is incredibly funny. the things that he says when he gets in trouble are so creative (and most times sensible) that it is hard to argue, i think he will be a lawyer. he loves to be a helper, problem-solve, and always wants to make someone feel better when they are sad. his questions sometimes come out of nowhere and are something most adults never think of. i am just so happy that he is mine, and that i have the privilege of raising & loving him. he is an amazing little human that keeps getting better and better everyday... i just hope i can keep up with him.

2010

2010 has been an AMAZING & exciting year!! i am so very thankful for so many things! it just seems like our life just gets greater everyday from little to big. here are some favorite/random pics of 2010. :)
